Sundargarh: A day after being allegedly kidnapped from Deogarh town, six-year-old daughter of a businessman was traced to Badagaon area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, a woman spotted the child crying near a bridge around 4 am and informed her family and local police. Locals communicated with her family after the girl shared the phone number with them. Later, kin of the child left for Badagaon to bring her back home.
Two unidentified bike-borne miscreants had kidnapped the girl from near State Bank Chhak in Deogarh when she was returning home with her grandmother last evening. It is being suspected that they later abandoned the child near the bridge. She is said to be safe and uninjured.
Though the reason behind the kidnapping is to be established, Badagaon police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
