Bhubaneswar: Department of Higher Education, Odisha has released the revised dates for the Terminal Semester examination of both Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) classes.
The decision was taken after a meeting via video conference with all the vice-chancellors of the State Public Universities on May 6.
The new exam schedule is as follows:
The 6th semester examination of UG Final Year will be completed by July 24, 2020. The result of the examination will be published by August 31, 2020.
The 4th semester examination of PG Final will be completed by August 20, 2020. The result of the examination will be published by September 20, 2020.
The detailed timetable for the exams will be notified by the respective universities and autonomous colleges.
Meanwhile, in view of the pandemic, the State Education Department has issued the following guidelines for conducting the examinations:
While conducting the examinations, all precautionary measures such as social distancing, use of mask, hand washing/sanitising, routine use of disinfectant should be strictly followed.
There should not be overcrowding of students during exams.
Taking social distance into account, the batch-size may be determined by the concerned universities and colleges.
Students must be well-informed about the exams to be conducted in advance.
Classrooms, laboratories should be regularly disinfected before the commencement of exams.
The exam schedule for UG 2nd and 4th semester (1st and 2nd year), PG 2nd semester (1st year) and back-papers will be decided later depending on the COVID-19 situation.
