Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience dry weather and a gradual fall in the night temperature by 3-4 degree Celsius after 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
There will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next 24 hours, it added.
The state has been witnessing a slight rise in temperature since Sunday with Daringbadi recording the lowest 13.5 degree Celsius the previous night.
With the winter chill returning to the state, the mercury is likely to plummet to 16 degree Celsius in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The MeT office has also forecast light to moderate rain in some parts of Malkangiri and Koraput during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the depression over westcentral and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal moved west-northwestwards and weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area over westcentral and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh-north Tamil Nadu coasts. It is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards and weaken further during the next 24 hours, it added.
