Bhubaneswar: Mahanga MLA Sarada Prasad Pradhan is set to tie the nuptial knot at a resort in Jaipur in Rajasthan on March 2.
The 46-year-old independent MLA will take the wedding vows with trainee OAS officer Sipra Priyadarshini Bal (27). She is the eldest daughter of Ramesh Bal of Barimool under Derabish block in Kendrapada.
After completing BSc from Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, she was working as the Welfare Extension Officer at Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district. She cracked the Odisha Civil Services Examinations in 2023.
After performing puja at the Nigamananda Ashram, the MLA left for Rajasthan with his friends and family for the wedding. A video of him along with his would-be-bribe during the Mehendi ceremony at Jaipur has also gone viral on social media.
Pradhan won the Mahanga Assembly seat by defeating BJD’s Ankit Pratap Jena by 7,700 votes in the 2024 elections.
