Ganjam: Ganjam district on Sunday reported eight new corona positive cases, taking the total number of persons affected by the virus to 698.
Of the eight cases, four cases have been detected in Bellaguntha block. All of them are vegetable vendors aged 60, 54, 51 and 23, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted.
The two more cases – a 45-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man – have reported from Bhanjanagar block. A 35-year-old man and an 18-year-old man from Patrapur block have also tested positive for the deadly virus.
All have been shifted to COVID hospital, he added.
With six deaths and 613 recoveries, Ganjam now has 79 active cases.
