Devotees Have Darshan Of Deity In This Temple Of Odisha’s Jajpur After 3 Months
Jajpur: With reopening of the Biraja temple, here on Wednesday, the devotees had darshan of Maa Biraja after a gap of over three months.
The devotees were allowed to enter the temple adhering to all the COVID guidelines at 6 am. They can offer puja to the deity till 8 pm. But they are not permitted to hold a gathering on the temple premises.
After the state government assigned the responsibility of reopening the temples to the district collectors, most of the temples in Cuttack and Kendrapada districts reopened from Wednesday.
In Cuttack district, Dhabaleswar temple is yet to be reopened to the devotees while the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has not taken decision on reopening the temples in the city.
Meanwhile, except Gupteswar temple, all other temples reopened in Koraput district. Koraput collector allowed to reopen the temples by following the COVID guidelines. The district administration did not reopen the Gupteswar temple expecting heavy rush in the ensuing Sravana month.
It has been made mandatory for the devotees to enter the temples by wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
