Mumbai: As reports of Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal getting divorced are doing the rounds, haters started blaming and trolling the actress-choreographer for the ‘split’.
Unable to tolerate the online humiliation, Dhanashree broke her silence and gave it back to the trollers for blaming her without knowing the truth.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Dhanashree blasted the haters for spreading hatred and tarnishing her hard-earned reputation.
“The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate,” she wrote.
“I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values,” she added.
Talk of their divorce started after Dhanashree dropped Chahal from her name on her Instagram handle.
Social media users also observed that leg-spinner Chahal, who is not currently part of the Indian team, and Dhanashree have unfollowed each other on Instagram, thereby adding fuel to the fire. Pictures and videos of their wedding have also been deleted from Chahal’s account, hinting at a rough phase in their marriage.
There were reports of their split earlier also, but Chahal refuted those rumours. “A humble request to you all to not believe in any sort of rumours pertaining to our relationship. Kindly put an end to it,” Chahal said then.
Chahal and Dhanashree got hitched in December 2020 in a private ceremony held in Gurgaon.
Dhanashree was recently seen in Gippy Grewal and Rashmeet Kaur’s Punjabi song ‘Jutti Kasuri.’
