Dharmendra Pradhan Lays Foundation Stone For 600 Km Gas Pipeline Project
Sukinda: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
laid the foundation stone for 600 km gas pipeline project at Sukinda
on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said, “The Liquefied Natural
Gas (LNG) pipeline is being built at an estimated cost of Rs 6,000
crore. The pipeline will extend from Dhamra in Odisha to West Bengal’s
Haldia and to the far India-Bangladesh border.”
Highlighting that the Centre, under the leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, has been introducing several welfare schemes to protect
the interests of people of Odisha, especially the youth and women,
Pradhan sought the cooperation from the state government for proper
implementation of these schemes.
Pradhan further urged TATA to set up an automobile or manufacturing
hub in Odisha, which will generate employment, develop
entrepreneurship and ancillarisation of value added products.
