Bhubaneswar: With Biju Janata Dal (BJD) alleging that Adani Group was purchasing land near Gandhamardan mountain in Odisha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have reacted sharply and lashed out at the regional party.
Alleging purchase of land near the mountain by Adani Group, BJD leaders including Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo sought clarification from the BJP government on the matter.
Strongly refuting the allegation, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that there is no such plan for Gandhamardhan.
He said BJD is making false and baseless claims as it has no issue now. “They (BJD) have developed a bankruptcy symptom,” he claimed, accusing the regional party of making non-issue an issue out of desperation and frustration.
Coming down heavily on BJD, another BJP leader and Bargarh MP Pradeep Purohit said that land will not be given to anyone in Gandhamardan area.
He said opposition parties are spreading lies about Gandhamardan as they have no issue.
