Dharmendra Thanks PM Modi, Gadkari For Assent To Improve NH Passing Through Odisha’s Sambalpur
Sambalpur: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cabinet colleague Nitin Gadkari for granting permission for onetime improvement of NH-55 passing through Odisha’s Sambalpur.
“I had written to the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways last November requesting for simultaneous improvement of under-construction road and provision of streetlights on Angul-Sambalpur section of NH-55 passing through Naxapali-Dhanupali Chhak-Sindurpank Chhak. The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister has approved the request,” he posted on X.
The National Highways Authority of India has invited bid through e-tendering for onetime improvement along with electrical works for this section of the national highway, according to an official letter issued on January 2.
Dharmendra further wrote that this will help improve road infrastructure in Sambalpur and nearby districts, speed up transit facilities and strengthen the local economy by increasing business. “The people of nearby areas including Sambalpur will be particularly benefited. PM Modi is always committed to speed up the development of highways,” he added.
The Union Minister is currently attending Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Mahulipali under Bamra block in Sambalpur.
