Mumbai: There was serious concern about Dharmendra’s health condition as he has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital.
Unconfirmed reports have been doing the rounds that the veteran actor, who will be turning 90 on December 8, is in critical condition and has been put on a ventilator.
However, India Today quoted the actor’s team as saying that the Bollywood icon is in the hospital, but he is getting better.
“He’s under observation, but there’s nothing to worry about,” the actor’s team said, requesting privacy.
Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy for a routine medical check-up in late October, sparking concern among fans after news of his hospitalisation surfaced online.
“Given his age, he undergoes a series of tests periodically. He is currently in the hospital for the same. Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about,” members of his team informed.
His wife, fellow-actor Hema Malini had then assured everyone that he was recovering well.
Even at this age, Dharmendra tries to stay active on screen. He will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming biographical war drama ‘Ikkis’, co-starring Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat.
