Mumbai: Two months after Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ was released in theatres, the Ranveer Singh-starrer continues to shatter records.
The second-highest grosser in Bollywood of all time, Dhurandhar’s fantastic run helped it stay as the No. 1 film at the Indian box office week after week.
The film has continued to trend on the online ticketing platform BookMyShow since its release. Now, it is the longest-trending Indian film on the platform.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar’ has been trending on BookMyShow for 59 days, surpassing the record of 58 days achieved by Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava in 2025.
The success of both films was driven by word of mouth. Ditto with ‘Stree 2’, which occupies third place with 57 days.
A film’s longevity and success is judged by how long a film trends on BookMyShow.
According to industry estimates, the platform accounts for half of ticket sales for most films.
The Aditya Dhar-directed film is a spy thriller in which Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt star alongside Ranveer.
‘Dhurandhar’ has grossed Rs 1300 crore worldwide, including a record Rs 800-plus in India, the highest for any Hindi film.
The sequel, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, will hit theatres on March 19.
