Bhubaneswar: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal released a ‘Special Cover and Picture Post Cards’ of the Sainik School, Bhubaneswar as part of its diamond jubilee celebration on Wednesday.
On his arrival to attend a function organised on the occasion as chief guest, the Governor was received with a guard of honour by the Sainik School cadets. Later, he released the Special Cover & Post Cards at Vivekananda Hall of the school.
The cadets of the school and tiny tots of Bal Sainik Public School presented colourful cultural programmes. The Governor also interacted with the cadets at an ‘Art and Science Exhibition’ organised in the School.
In his address to the cadets, Prof Lal appreciated the activities of the school and advised the cadets to aim high, inculcate noble qualities and grow as noble citizens by making best use of the resources made available at the school. He also invoked them to join the Armed Forces in large number and serve the nation.
Gp Capt S Dominic Rayan, Principal; Col Balu Bharath, designate principal; Cdr Pritika Sharma, administrative afficer; Cdr Usha Sangwan, vice-principal; B Pradhan, senior master and other prominent guests were present at the function.
