Tehran/Washington: Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reportedly issued a forceful warning that if the United States launches a military strike against Iran, both American and Israeli forces and facilities will be considered “legitimate targets,” according to reports.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump reportedly dropped a major hint about his plan for Iran. But there is no confirmation on definitive decision to strike. Israel reportedly remained on high alert for the possibility of any American intervention in the chaos, reported Hindustan Times.
Ghalibaf’s remarks come amid escalating tensions over nationwide protests in Iran and the reported mounting rhetoric from the Trump administration. He reportedly made the remark during a heated session of Iran’s parliament, where lawmakers reportedly shouted anti-American slogans. “In the event of a US military attack, both Israel and US military and shipping centers will be our legitimate target,” Ghalibaf said, as quoted by Iran International.
There are unverified videos of the parliamentary uproar doing the rounds on social media. However, OdishaBytes could not independently verify the contents of these videos.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to intervene in recent days and warned Iran’s rulers against using force against demonstrators. On Saturday, Trump said the US stands “ready to help”.
The protests in Iran are now in their third week, with activists reporting significant casualties and thousands of arrests amid an internet blackout.
It remains unclear how far Iran intends to escalate militarily, as ultimate authority on such decisions rests with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
