Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday unveiled a bust of Vidyasagar at a mega event in Vidyasagar College a month after the social reformer’s statue was vandalised during a roadshow led by BJP president Amit Shah on May 14.
Reports said Tuesday’s event was attended by a host of politicians, intellectuals, film industry artistes and others.
Mamata and other guests took turns to garland the bust.
