New Delhi: Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Delhi concert has hit a roadblock after the Delhi Police reportedly denied permission for the October 30 event, citing specific threat-related inputs and security concerns during the ongoing festive season.
The decision has cast uncertainty over the singer’s scheduled performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as part of his Aura India Tour.
In a letter addressed to BookMyShow, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District) stated that the request to organise the concert had been examined but could not be approved in view of the security situation and law-and-order commitments.
The letter read, “Sir, With reference to your application dated 14.10.2026 on the subject cited above, I am to inform you that your request for organizing ‘Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour Delhi’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, on 30.10.2026 has been examined by this office. In view of the specific threat-related inputs, coupled with the multifarious security and law & order commitments arising out of the ongoing festive season and other important law & order concerns, the same cannot be acceded to.”
Diljit Dosanjh Warns Fans Against Fake Volunteer Offers
The development comes after Diljit cautioned fans against fake volunteer recruitment offers circulating on social media ahead of his Delhi concert.
On Thursday, the singer took to Instagram to address the issue, revealing that his team had brought several posts inviting people to register as volunteers for the event to his attention.
Clarifying that no such recruitment drive was underway, Diljit urged fans not to share their personal information with unknown pages.
“We are not asking anyone to volunteer, so please don’t share your information. If you share your information with any pages, you know data is the biggest thing today. So don’t share your information. These pages take your data and then sell it. So that’s a different business. This was important to say because a lot of people get scammed,” he said.
The singer also shared a message of encouragement, urging his followers not to lose hope when faced with setbacks or obstacles.
“Whenever someone tries to pull you back and sabotage your work, sometimes it happens that the job isn’t for you and you deserve even better and you should focus on that. This is definite and true that whatever is happening, it’s on his (God’s) command. If today you are suffering because of that or facing a hurdle, it might be that it’s for your own betterment. You are being made stronger for better work and better platform,” he said.
Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour: Cities And Ticket Prices
Following the reported ₹943-crore success of his 2024 Dil-Luminati Tour, Diljit is set to return to the Indian concert circuit with his Aura India Tour, which is scheduled to cover multiple cities across the country.
The highest-priced tickets for his upcoming India shows are reportedly priced at ₹18,000, considerably lower than the lakh-rupee packages reportedly offered for some of Arijit Singh’s concerts.
