According to reports, the services are likely to begin from the airport in coming winter. SpiceJet and Alliance Air are already operating flights to Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Raipur and Hyderabad, said Director, Jharsuguda Airport, Kishore Kumar Senapati.

It may be noted that the commercial flight service was launched from VSS airport to six cities of the country under the third phase of UDAN scheme last year.
