Mumbai: After the much-awaited teaser of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ was unveiled on Tuesday, disappointed fans shared that they ‘felt empty’ on noticing that their favourite Rehman Dakait (played by Akshaye Khanna) was missing.
Titled as ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, the teaser of the sequel hints at a darker, grittier, and a more explosive action drama.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the new mission of Hamza Ali Mazari (played by Ranveer Singh) after he takes over Dakait’s legacy to become the undisputed king of Lyari. In the teaser, Arjun Rampal is seen as Major Iqbal of the ISI, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam of Sindh Police’s Lyari Task Force, and R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Director of IB (a character inspired by Ajit Doval).
But there is no Akshaye!
A section of netizens claimed that the sequel will be weak and won’t impress the audience if Akshaye wasn’t there in the film.

“Where is Akshaye Khanna??? Ranveer is nowhere close to @SrBachchan,” commented one person.
Another reaction read, “Akshaye khanna ke aura ke aage sab fail hai.( Akshaye Khanna’s aura surpasses everyone else’s)”
“Well well well!!! You got fooled once again!! And you will bury yourself in the coffin on march 19th!!! Coz all the power and performance was in Part 1…hence they don’t have anything new to show in the teaser!!! and just the end is left where there will be no Akshaye Khanna aura farming, Sanju baba dying and Arjun Rampal needs to pull all the things together as antagonist which I feel even makers dont think will be able to do hence creating a bubble of surprise character Bade Sahab,” shared another netizen.
