Mumbai: Disha Patani is set to step into Hollywood with her upcoming film ‘The Portal Of Force’.
Expressing excitement about the project, the actress shared that she has always been drawn to action-oriented roles, making the film a particularly special milestone in her career.
“Stepping into my first international outing was both thrilling and terrifying – but the scope to explore the craft was massive. Working with an experienced, diverse cast was an education in itself,” Disha said.
“You realise that storytelling transcends language and geography – honesty on screen is universal. I’ve always loved action, and to bring what I’v
e learned on the home turf to a global platform feels incredibly empowering,” the actress added.
The preview introduces Disha as Jessica, a central figure caught in a supernatural conflict between two ancient groups — the Statiguards and the Holiguards.
The film serves as the first chapter in the ‘Statiguards vs Holiguards Saga’, launching a new cinematic universe envisioned by Lado Okhotnikov.
Jessica, referred to as “the Chosen One,” is portrayed as the daughter of rival leaders from both factions, placing her at the heart of the battle between the two worlds.
As the story progresses, the character undergoes a powerful supernatural transformation, while Disha is also seen performing intense action and combat sequences with ease and confidence.
The film boasts an international ensemble cast featuring Kevin Spacey, Dolph Lundgren and Tyrese Gibson, among others.
Apart from her Hollywood venture, Disha has also joined the cast of ‘Awarapan 2’, the much-awaited sequel directed by Nitin Kakkar and headlined by Emraan Hashmi.
