Keonjhar: The Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on the house and office of Pabitra Nayak, a forest official of Champua forest range in Keonjhar district, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

After a complaint was lodged against the Very High Frequency (VHF) operator, a joint Keonjhar-Balasore vigilance team searched different places on the direction of Balasore SP Jugal Kishore Banoth.

The raids were conducted under the supervision of Vigilance DCP D D Seth.

The exact amount of the disproportionate property unearthed during the raids is yet to be known.

On August 30, Chief Accounts officer of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) Nalini Prusty and her Tehsildar husband were arrested by vigilance sleuths on charges of disproportionate assets.
