Cuttack: After a brief lull, the marital discord between Ollywood’s once most-loved couple Anubhav Mohanty and Varsha Priyadarshini again grabbed headlines after the actor-turned-politician recently released two tell-all videos.
Varsha responded to them by filing a complaint Purighat police station in Cuttack on Sunday. She has strongly objected to the actor making videos viral since the matter is sub-judice and accused him of mentally torturing her. She also accused him of making unpalatable statements, which are defamatory in nature and aim at character assassination.

She further alleged that Anubhav was trying to violate the actress’ ‘Right to Live with Dignity’ by sharing baseless stories on social media.
Responding to queries on the complaint, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra on Monday said that the fresh FIR against Anubhav is being reviewed and action will be taken in accordance with the law. “We have acknowledged the complaint filed by Varsha Priyadarshini at Purighat police station. We will analyse the content of the FIR and take action accordingly,” he said.
The DCP further said that a case was registered earlier in the dispute between the couple, and a probe is underway. “We are also taking into consideration the subsequent complaints being made by her. Action will be taken after analysing whether contents are cognizable or non-cognizable offence,” he added.
Anubhav released one video on May 19 and the other on May 21. In the first video titled ‘untold story’, he promised to spill the beans about the discord with his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini, but only if fans gave him the permission to do so while in the second, he elaborated on the reason which forced him to file for divorce from his wife.
