Berhampur: The second phase vaccination against COVID-19 for frontline warriors began in Ganjam district with collector Vijay Amrit Kulange, SP Brijesh Kumar Ray and Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra taking the jab in the initial hours of the drive on Saturday.
According to official sources, as many as 30 booths were opened to administer the vaccine to 13,043 registered persons during the second phase.
After the vaccination, which was meant for the employees of Revenue, Public Relations and Police department, not a single person has complained any serious side-effects.
Speaking to the media after taking the vaccine in Chatrapur block, the collector said the vaccines are “completely safe and effective”. “I am feeling absolutely fine after getting vaccinated. Most of the people in Ganjam are enthusiastic to get inoculated to win the war against COVID-19,” he added.
