Bhubaneswar: The third National Lok Adalat of this year will be held on September 13 in all trial court of Odisha’s Khurda district.
The Lok Adalat will be held in courts at Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Banpur, Jatni, Chilika, Tangi and Begunia, secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Salomi Sahu said.
Almost all types of pending cases like criminal (arbitrable), cheque bounce, bank loan, revenue, motor vehicle accident compensation, labour and employment, electricity, water, matrimonial (except divorce), land acquisition, job-related (salary, allowance and retirement benefits) and all other types of land or civil cases will be resolved through mutual agreement.
Apart from pending cases, pre-litigation matters relating to cheque bounce, telephone, bank loan non-payment and other arbitrable civil, criminal and all types of family disputes can be resolved in Lok Adalat with the consent of both the parties.
No financial cost is incurred for the resolution of the case/dispute in the Lok Adalat. The judgment of this Lok Adalat is final, binding and enforceable. If any pending case is resolved through Lok Adalat, then the court fee already paid can be refunded.
