Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss’ OTT 1 winner Divya Agarwal recently slammed ‘Bigg Boss 19’ contestant Shehbaz Badesha for seeking votes using late Sidharth Shukla’s name.
Criticising Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz for saying that Sidharth’s fans would vote for him, Divya stated that he should earn votes on his own merit.
“Sidharth ke fans, Sidharth ke fans hi hain. They are not in favour of anyone or liable to support someone just because you are related to them or have a tattoo of them on yourself. It’s very wrong. Aap kisike naam par andar aaye ho, aur ab jab aap andar aaye hi gaye ho, toh now make your own fans aur tum apne balbute par khelo. (Sidharth’s fans are just that, Sidharth’s fans. They aren’t obligated to support anyone just because you’re related to them or have their tattoo on you. That’s very wrong. You entered the show using someone else’s name, and now that you’re here, make your own fans and play on your own merit),” Divya said in an interview with FilmyGyan.
Earlier this week, while discussing about late Sidharth’s huge fan base, Shehbaz claimed that the actor’s followers would back him and save him from getting evicted.
“Baithe hain phir Sidharth Shukla ke fans mere saath. Jo ye show ka winner hai na, uske fans baithe hain mere saath. (I have the backing of Sidharth Shukla’s fans. He was the winner of this reality show and his fans are with me)”, Shehbaz said.
Shehbaz’s comments irritated Sidharth’s fans, who took to social media to slam him.
Meanwhile, Shenaaz was spotted on the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ sets on Friday.
In a chat with Telly Talk India, when she was asked about her brother Shehbaz’s recent statement, she laughed and asked the media in return, “What do you think?”
When the reporters mentioned that Shehbaz should seek votes based on his own merit, Shenaaz replied, “We have spoken to Salman Khan sir about this on the show. You’ll get to see it in the episode.”
