Mumbai: Kajol has always been vocal about what’s on her mind and in a recent interview with Zoom, the actress stated that she is unapologetic for being her real self in public.
While promoting her recent outing ‘Do Patti’ on the Great Indian Kapil Show, the actress was asked to share the weirdest news she has ever heard about herself.
To this, the actress quipped that she hears the news of her death once in every five to ten years.
Sharing about one such fake news, Kajol said, “Yeah, so many times! This has happened many times. This used to happen before social media as well. Someone called my mother at home and told her that my plane had crashed. At that time, there was no social media or phone. So, my mom had to wait. So, this has happened quite a few times. Recently, also, I think a video had gone viral that I had died. That’s one of the weirdest (news). It’s sick.”
The actress further said that she doesn’t need to use the search engines for checking any weird news about herself, as her well-wishers are prompt enough to check on her after reading such news.
“I have never had the need to Google myself because if the news is weird, people call and let me know. Someone or the other would forward me the news and say, ‘Look! There’s some strange news about you! What’s happening?’” said the actress.
On work front, her recent OTT release ‘Do Patti’ also starring Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh received mixed reviews. News18 Showsha gave a 3.5 star-rating to ‘Do Patti’.
“An actor of the calibre and stature of Kajol truly deserves a better written and more nuanced character. Vidya, in essence, lacks a certain amount of novelty and seems like plucked out of one of the many cop thrillers in the OTT world,” read the review.
