Berhampur: Two Berhampur Municipal Corporation sweepers were arrested late on Tuesday, for allegedly firing on a man at Khodasingi under Baidanathpur police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
The arrested have been identified as Tuna Nayak and Diba Nayak.
According to sources, the accused had an argument with the victim, who was taking his dog on a walk. They were sweeping that stretch of the road at that time. Following the altercation, they fired on him. A bullet hit the man in his hand.
On being informed, police reached the spot and arrested Tuna and Diba. The gun was also seized from their possession.
Further investigation is underway.
