New Delhi: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) members met President Ram Nath Kovid on Monday and urged him not to sign the farm bills.
The controversial bills, which have led to much hurtburn and strong protests, have been passed by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and await President’s nod before becoming law.
“We requested him to send back the bills to Parliament,” SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
