Double Murder In Odisha’s Digapahandi; Bodies Set On Fire

Berhampur: Unidentified miscreants allegedly brutally murdered two men at Mahuda village under Digapahandi police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district and set the bodies on fire late on Wednesday.

Police have identified the deceased as Siba Gouda and Liti Gouda.

According to sources, the charred bodies were recovered from the bushes near the village this morning. The miscreants also torched their bikes after committing the crime. Chikiti SDPO, Digapahandi IIC  and a police team visited the place and initiated an investigation. The family members have identified the bodies.

Though the reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected to be the fallout of past enmity. The two friends were in the tractor business and the incident took place when had gone to collect some borrowed money, the sources added.
