Doubling Rate Of Coronavirus Cases In India Improves From 7.5 To 10 Days
New Delhi: The Union government said on Friday that the doubling rate of novel coronavirus cases in India has improved to 10 days.
Five days ago, the Health Ministry had reported that positive cases were doubling in 7.5 days, compared to 3.5 days before lockdown.
The recovery rate in the country is an encouraging 20.52%.
These positive figures notwithstanding, India on Friday recorded 1,752 fresh cases — the biggest spike in on a single day in the country.
The total number of cases has risen to 23,452, while the death toll has climbed to 723.
Director of National Centre for Disease Control S K Singh informed that around 9.45 lakh people suspected to have got the infection are under surveillance and their samples are being collected whenever clear symptoms are surfacing.
