Draft List Of 10 Lakh Additional KALIA Beneficiaries In March: CS
Bhubaneswar: With the approval of the state cabinet to the proposal of the Odisha government to include 10 lakh more farmers in the KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) scheme, a high-level review meeting to this effect on Thursday decided to bring out a draft list of new beneficiaries in the first week of March this year.
Talking to mediapersons after presiding over the review meeting at the State Secretariat here, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said it was decided that the efforts will be made to ensure that not a single farmer is left out of the scheme as directed by the Chief Minister.
He said that the meeting also discussed the disbursal of money for Kharif to the bank account of the beneficiaries after April 1 as per the approval of the state cabinet.
The Odisha cabinet on February 26 had approved the proposal of the state government to include another 10 lakh small and marginal farmers, sharecroppers and landless farmers to be included in the scheme.
