Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday arrested dreaded criminal Mohammad Sakil from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
Sakil was in the wanted list of police for quite a long time. Acting on a tip-off regarding his presence in Andhra Pradesh, a special team carried out raids at various places and managed to nab him from Guntur. Four other members of Sakil gang were also arrested during the raids and several weapons were seized from their possession, a senior police officer said.
Over 12 criminal cases, including murder, bombing and firing, are pending against Sakil at different police stations of the state, the officer added.
