Driver Rescued After Ambulance Is Swept Away By Flash Flood In Odisha’s Sundargarh
Rourkela: Fire Service personnel rescued an ambulance driver from drowning after the vehicle was swept away in a flash flood in a nullah at Sundargarh district’s Gurundia village on Saturday.
According to reports, Bibhisan Patra was on way from Gurundia to Bonai around 11 am. As the ambulance got stuck in muddy clay, he stopped the vehicle near the nullah to clean the tyres when a flash flood gushed into the water body and dragged the vehicle into deep waters.
Some villagers, who witnessed the incident, informed the Fire Brigade. Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the driver from the nullah.
