Drone Video With Close Aerial Views Of Puri Jagannath Temple Goes Viral
Puri: A drone video with close aerial views of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri has gone viral on social media, raising serious questions over security of the 12th century shrine.
According to reports, the videographer who captured the video, has been identified as Animesh Chakrabarthy from West Bengal.
He is reported to have claimed that he works for the Tourism department and had visited Puri to shoot a documentary. Animesh reportedly claimed that he took the drone shot with the permission from a police official.
As per information, the video and the aerial view of the 12th-century temple were taken by a drone. The video went viral as it was shared by someone on his social media account after the clip was uploaded by Animesh on his YouTube channel.
The nearly six minute video covers aerial views from ‘Nilachakra’ to Singhadwara – the Lion’s Gate. The YouTuber has also thanked Odisha Police in the video.
The Temple administration has taken the incident seriously. Taking photos and videos of the temple has been prohibited by the ASI.
It may be noted here that the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) had lodged a complaint with Singhadwar Police last month after the pictures of the sanctum sanctorum of the Temple went viral on social media. Subsequently, a youth from Bangladesh was arrested for capturing the photo and posting on his Facebook account.
