Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday said most parts of Odisha are likely to experience dry weather after witnessing a few spells of rain over some districts last week.
The regional Met office stated in its bulletin that the maximum temperatures marked rise an appreciable rise at a few places over South Odisha districts and at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, the bulletin stated. The highest of temperature of 40 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri.
The temperature is expected to rise in the next five days resulting in dry weather, it added.
Maximum day temperature in Bhubaneswar is expected to hover around 36 to 38 degree Celsius along with partly cloudy sky.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued thunderstorm with lightning warning for eight Odisha districts for the next 24 hours.
Yellow warning has been issued for Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.
