Odisha-born sprinter Dutee Chand is on a record-breaking spree. A day after creating a new national record, she smashed it again by clocking 11.26 seconds to qualify for the final of women’s 100m race at the 23rd Asian Athletics Championships at Doha on Monday.
The 23-year-old Dutee had entered the semis on Sunday by surpassing her previous national record of 11.29 second, which she had set in Guwahati last year, by a second (11.28)
Dutee, however, is yet to achieve the 11.24 second qualification mark for the World Championships, slated for September-October this year.
