Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) felicitated three of its employees for their exemplary vigilance and alertness while on duty.
Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, ECoR felicitated the three Railway employees at a function held in ECoR headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
The Railway employees, who were felicitated, included G Sridhar, Chief Traffic Inspector at Visakhapatnam; Sushant Kumar Giri, Technician-I at ROH/Sarla near Sambalpur and V Ramakrishna, Technician-II at Vizianagaram.
“The three employees’ quick actions played a critical role in preventing major mishaps, safeguarding both human lives and the integrity of train operations,” he said.
Funkwal praised the dedicated efforts of Gangmen, Trolleymen, Gatemen, OHE Khalasis and other maintenance personnel for working tirelessly in challenging conditions to ensure safe and efficient running of trains. Emphasising the importance of recognising their hard work, he urged all Railway employees to maintain sincerity and alertness in their duties to ensure smooth and safe operations for passengers.
“Every employee’s diligence contributes to safety and security of our railway network. It is essential that we remain vigilant to continue providing safe travel for our passengers,” said Funkwal.
Additional General Manager of ECoR Mohes Kumar Behera along with senior officials including Principal Chief Safety Officer also spoke on the occasion.
