Bhubaneswar: Five employees of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) were felicitated by Parmeshwar Funkwal general manager, ECoR, on Tuesday, for their remarkable vigil and quick decision making that helped in ensuring smooth and safe operations along the railway network.
“The employees were honoured for their dedication, alertness, and prompt action while on duty, ensuring safe train operations. The felicitation ceremony took place at the ECoR headquarters, Rail Sadan, Bhubaneswar. Among the others present were the additional general manager and principal chief safety officer,” a senior ECoR official said.
Those felicitated were Chandrageer Kumar Raut, senior assistant loco pilot, Khurda Road, Upendra Kumar, senior goods train manager, Titlagarh, Suresh Gagaray, track maintainer-IV, Harichandanpur, Sudhansu Shekhar Das, track maintainer-II, Gorakhnath and Kilo Sonu, track maintainer-IV, Manavar (Koraput).
The GM commended these employees for their remarkable vigilance and swift actions, which are crucial in maintaining smooth and safe functioning of the railway network. He emphasized that the dedication of railway personnel plays a vital role in ensuring passenger safety and operational efficiency.
Acknowledging their commitment, Funkwal urged all railway employees to remain alert, vigilant, and dedicated to their responsibilities, highlighting the significance of safety at every stage of railway operations. He reiterated that the unwavering efforts of railway staff contribute significantly to a secure and efficient railway system.
