Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railways (ECoR) has announced details on special trains that will run from different parts of Odisha for Rath Yatra in Puri.
The ECoR, in a release on Sunday, said the special trains will run to carry the devotees coming to Puri to participate in the 9-day car festival everyday. As the Rath Yatra begins with pulling of chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra on June 20, the trains will run from Rath Yatra day till June 30.
It has made arrangements for the special trains from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Paradip, Gunupur, Sambalpur, Nuagaon, Jagdalpur, Rourkela and Angul in Odisha and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Puri.
The ECoR has also stated the details about the special trains including the timing of departure and arrival, number of compartments, ticket booking, reservation and other facilities are available on its website https://eastcoastrail.indianrailways.gov.in.
