Chandigarh: In connection to a case of alleged money laundering, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday raided the premises of AAP Punjab MLA Amandeep Kaur Arora and her family. The MLA and her family are facing the allegations of fraudulent acquisition of government properties, among other charges, officials reportedly said.
According to reports, the sleuths have raided seven premises, including the residences of Arora, who is AAP women’s wing Punjab president and an MLA from Moga, family members, associates and other assets.
The ED conducted the raids under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act following a June 2024 FIR of the Punjab Police. This comes ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls, which may be held early next year.
