New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has asked actress Rakul Preet Singh to join its investigation into an alleged money-laundering charge in a Telugu film industry (Tollywood) drugs case.
Rakul Preet will have to appear before ED officials on December 19.
In September 2021, Rakul Preet had appeared before ED as part of its probe into a drugs racket that was busted in 2017. The Cuttputlli and Doctor G star was also quizzed by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last year in the drugs-racket probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department had cracked the case involving a racket supplying high-end narcotics like LSD and MDMA.
Eminent Telugu director Puri Jagannadh, actor Charmee Kaur are among several personalities connected with Telugu film industry who have already been interrogated by the ED.
