New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and expelled Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra has been issued fresh summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) contravention case.
Moitra, who had ignored the previous summon on February 19 and asked for three weeks’ time, has now been asked to appear before the central agency on March 11.
Moitra, who is being probed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as part of a preliminary inquiry in connection with the alleged cash-for-query case, is believed to involved in certain foreign transactions including undisclosed ones which are being probed under FEMA.
