Ekamra Utsav Concludes With Singer Jubin Nautiyal’s Performance In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: The Ekamra Utsav in Bhubaneswar, showcasing art, culture, and linguistic diversity of Odisha, came to an end with a mesmerising performance by popular singer Jubin Nautiyal on Friday evening.
Jubin Nautiyal’s rendition of Odia bhajan “Chahinla Boli Chaka Akhi” was high point of his soul-stirring performance. It evoked high emotions, highlighting the integral role of Jagannath cult in Odisha’s cultural fabric.
Organised alongside the first Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani (International Odia Language Conference), Ekamra Utsav highlighted every facet of Odisha, including language, culture, cuisines, and arts.
The ‘Ama Byanjana’ food stalls offered authentic Odia delicacies ranging from tribal to festive cuisines while ‘Sangita Murchana’ events showcased renowned national and state singers, mesmerising audience.
The night flea market became a hub for authentic craftworks, while the Bhubaneswar Kahani Utsav captivated visitors with tales from Odia folklore.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), which organised the Utsav, also extended its celebration to include people from underprivileged sections. Residents of slum areas were invited to enjoy the musical nights at the Exhibition Ground with complimentary passes.
The residents in and around IDCO exhibition ground also received free passes. Similarly, around 100 students of Bhima Bhoi Andha Muka Badhira School also attended the inaugural function.
Balwant Singh, vice-chairman of the BDA, emphasised the festival’s commitment to inclusiveness and equitable representation across diverse demographics, aligning with the spirit of celebration for both the festival and the World Odia Conference.
