Odisha is the seventh BJP-ruled states after Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, to exempt entertainment tax on ‘The Sabarmati Report’, based on the Godhra train burning incident, from entertainment tax.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Mahaling made the announcement in the Assembly on November 28.
Later taking to his X handle, the CM wrote, “People’s government has decided to make the film ‘Sabarmati Report’ based on a true incident tax free in Odisha.
