Rahul Gandhi lost to Smriti Irani in Amethi by over 54,000 votes. However, Rahul will still be seen in Lok Sabha, as he had contested from a second seat, Wayanad in Kerala, where he won by over 4 lakh votes

Shatrughan Sinha of the Congress lost to Ravi Shankar Prasad of the BJP by over 2 lakh votes in Bihar’s Patna Sahib seat

Milind Deora of the Congress lost to Shiv Sena’s Arwind Sawant by almost 1 lakh votes in Mumbai South

Urmila Matondkar of the Congress lost to the BJP candidate Gopal Setty by over 4 lakh votes.  Interestingly, Bollywood actor Govinda had won this seat contesting on a Congress ticket in the 2004 elections.
