Lucknow: A controversial poster has surfaced in Lucknow days ahead of Dussehra.
Billboards and hoardings, displayed at several prominent intersections in the Uttar Pradesh capital, feature Indian and international public figures, portraying them as the ten heads of Ravana.
Titled ‘Sanatan Bharat Ke Virodhi Ravan’ (Ravan, enemy of Sanatan Bharat), the posters have been put up by a Hindu religious and social organisation called Sanatan Raksha Sangathan.
The artwork is themed on Ravana, the ten-headed figure from the Ramayana whose effigies are burnt during Dussehra celebrations.
Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmad is depicted as Ravana.
Among the international faces are US billionaire Elon Musk, American Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, former Bangladesh chief adviser Muhammad Yunus and investor George Soros.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, former MP Azam Khan, gangster and politician Mukhtar Ansari and lawyer Prashant Bhushan complete the ‘Ravana’ line-up.

Musk, who heads Tesla, SpaceX and XCorp, recently linked the delay of his satellite internet services company Starlink’s entry into India with ‘real boss of India’ Mukesh Ambani’s influence.
Nobel Laureate Yunus’ relations with India have been strained since he was appointed caretaker head of an interim administration Bangladesh after the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2024.
As for billionaire philanthropist Soros, the BJP has frequently accused him of operating a ‘deep state’ agenda to destabilise the government in Delhi.
