Jharsuguda: Two bike-borne criminals shot at Sanjaya Gupta alias Gudu, the husband of a former councillor, at Kalinagar in Brajrajnagar under Orient police limits of Jharsuguda district on Monday.
Gudu, 45, was returning from his morning walk when the crime took place. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital and later shifted to VIMSAR when his condition worsened.

On being informed, the police reached the spot and began investigations into the matter.
“Two criminals opened fire at Sanjaya around 7am and then fled from the spot. We have started investigations,” the Orient police station inspector in-charge said.
The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
