New Delhi: Former model Divya Pahuja, whose body was found in a canal in Haryana 11 days after being murdered, was shot at point-blank range.
The post-mortem report revealed that a bullet was recovered from her head.
The post-mortem was conducted by four doctors, under the direction of Dr Mohan Singh, at Agroha Medical College in Haryana’s Hisar, reported India Today.
The body has been handed over to Divya’s family. Her last rites will be conducted in Gurugram.
The 27-year-old Divya was allegedly killed on January 2 at Gurugram’s City Point Hotel by its owner Abhijeet Singh.
Her body was recovered from a canal in Tohana, in Haryana’s Fatehabad district on January 13.
According to police, the 56-year-old hotel owner Abhijeet claimed that Divya was blackmailing him with explicit videos, leading to a face-off.
Even as investigation is underway, police have arrested Abhijeet and four other persons so far who have been identified as Hemraj, Om Prakash, Megha Phogat — who allegedly assisted in hiding the murder weapon and Divya’s belongings — and Balraj Gill, who allegedly disposed of the body.
Ravi Banga, another suspect, is on the run. He allegedly helped in moving the body out of the hotel in a BMW car.
