Sambalpur: Authorities of Gangadhar Meher University have deferred the examinations scheduled to be held on January 13 to January 24.
According to a notification issued by the varsity, the decision to postpone the examinations was taken following a letter from Zilla Parishada about Nua-O-Fest being organised at Mandalia Ground on January 13 in Sambalpur.
The Odisha givernment launched the Nua-O District festival in December last year with participation from over 15,000 youths, performing a spectrum of activities, at Angul. The grand finale is scheduled for February 5.
The third-semester examinations (regular/back/Imp) of undergraduate programme in Arts, Science, Commerce,
B.Sc IST, BBA, BA B.Ed, and B.Sc B.Ed at the varsity, seventh-semester examinations of BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed, third-semester examinations of post-graduate programme in Arts, Science, Commerce, third-semester examinations of MCA, MBA and MBA(FM) will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm (first sitting) and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm (second sitting) on January 24.
