Berhampur: The Ganjam Collector, Vijay Amrit Kulange, launched a ‘mobile swab collection van’ exclusively for areas under Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) on Friday.
The air-conditioned mobile van with a lab technician, a health worker and an attendant will visit different wards and locations earmarked by the BeMC for swab collection from suspected COVID-19 patients, officials said.
Following the van’s deployment, the temporary swab collection centre functioning at Biju Patnaik Homeopathy Girls Hostel here at present would be stopped from Saturday, the officials added.
