Hyderabad: With the Allu Arjun controversy over the death of a woman in a stampede at Sandhya theatre refusing to die, the ‘Pushpa 2’ star released a statement on Sunday, urging fans to express their feeling responsibly.
A day after he faced fresh accusations about his role in the Sandhya theatre incident earlier this month from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, Allu took to Instagram to request his fans to avoid any kind of abusive behaviour online or offline, or else face action.
“I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behaviour both online and offline. Misrepresentating as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request the fans to not engage with such posts. Allu Arjun,” read the note from the actor.

On Saturday, Allu conducted a press conference to respond to the allegations made against him by politicians in the state Assembly.
CM Reddy said that Allu had attended the ‘Pushpa 2’ premiere at Sandhya theatre on December 4 despite police permission being denied. He also claimed that the superstar did not leave the cinema hall even after the death of the woman in the stampede, prompting police to force him out.
Akbaruddin, on the other hand, alleged that the actor said the movie will be ‘a hit’ after the stampede and death of a fan.
Allu told the press he had no idea about the stampede and came to know about it only the next morning when a case was filed against him.
He dismissed the allegations levelled against him as “misinformation” and claimed that he was being subjected to ‘character assassination’.
On December 4, thousands had gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjin during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’ at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. In the rush, a stampede-like situation ensued and a 35-year-old woman lost her life, while her son was critically injured.
